Under New Management

Born and bred in the heart of Alabama, Maurice Dobbins brings a fresh perspective and a wealth of experience to his new position as General Manager of Greenway Kia of the Shoals.  Although he was born in Decatur, it was his upbringing in the quaint town of Hillsboro, just a stone’s throw from Muscle Shoals, that shaped his values and understanding of community.  
 
From his early days, Mr. Dobbins’ passion for excellence was evident.  He made his mark not only academically, but also on the basketball court, representing Decatur High School with distinction and earning accolades as a standout player for the Alabama Blazers AAU team based in Florence.  His dedication and drive led him to pursue higher education and athletics at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where he continued to excel both on and off the court.  
 
 After a brief stint playing professional basketball, Maurice transitioned into the automotive industry in 2011, starting a new chapter in his career journey.  Starting as a salesman at University Kia in Huntsville, he quickly distinguished himself, earning promotion to roles of increasing responsibility.   Within the span of just a few years, he rose through the ranks to become a General Sales Manager, setting records and making significant contributions to the dealership’s success.  
 
Under the mentorship of Arthur Seaton, managing partner of University Kia, Maurice honed his skills and deepened his understanding of the automotive business.  But beyond the numbers and metrics, Maurice’s true passion lies in customer satisfaction and community engagement.  With his roots firmly grounded in Hillsboro, Maurice recognizes the importance of connecting with customers on a personal level and understanding the unique culture and way of life in the region.  His vision for Greenway Kia of the Shoals is not just about selling cars, but about building lasting relationships and becoming an integral part of the community fabric.  
 
As the new GM of Greenway Kia of the Shoals, Maurice is committed to a customer-centric approach, where the utmost emphasis is placed on integrity and transparency.  His goal is to not only meet, but exceed, customer expectations, ensuring that every visit a customer makes to the dealership is a memorable and rewarding experience. However, his aspirations extend beyond the showroom floor.   He envisions Greenway Kia of the Shoals as more than just a dealership, but as a pillar of support for the community.   
 
Through active involvement and contributions to local schools and organizations, Maurice aims to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around him.  With an open-door policy and a genuine willingness to listen, Maurice invites past, current, and prospective customers to stop by and share their feedback and experiences.  He understands that continuous improvement is key to delivering unparalleled service and is committed to leveraging customer insights to drive positive change.
